Taking it cross country.  Local 149 celebrates some of its favorite craft brewers on a tasty tour across this great nation. Four courses highlight the unique culinary offerings from the region where the beer was created. It is a celebration of people doing their thing locally throughout America. Starting in the great state of Massachusetts with a rare beer from Berkshire Brewing this tour will take you to the plains of Nebraska, the shores of San Diego and ending in the bustling streets of New Orleans.

What’s cooking good looking? The Laboure is hosting a Southie Quick Chefs cooking demonstration featuring Jim Coveno and Jerry Tracy on Tusday, June 12th from 6pm-8pm.  Simple and delicious meals will be the focus for the experienced and novice cooks.  Tickets are $30 and include cooking instruction, wine tasting and menus.  All proceeds goes directly to Catholic Charities Laboure.  For more information email [email protected].

 

Oh, oh, oh it’s magic.  Awesome Robb’s Pirate Show will surprise and delight your little ones.  The South Boston Public Library (646 East Broadway) will host this magic and juggling show for kids of all ages.  This special event takes place on Monday, June 11th at 4:30pm.  It’s free and open to the public.
