On your mark. Get set. Go! Y.E.S. Track begins Monday, May 21st at 6pm at Moakley Park. This spring/summer track & field program is for youths ages 4 through middle school and will meet on Mondays and Thursdays through the summer. Habit and Caught in Southie are hosting local guest speakers from South Boston contemporary galleries. Stop by on Tuesday, May 22nd from 6pm-8pm and enjoy wine and conversation. Also, Habit (703 East Broadway) is offering 20% off all merchandise that evening.
Bill Linehan is putting the fun back in politics. Unleash your inner rock star on Thursday, May 24th at 6pm at Councillor Bill Linehan’s Karaoke Challenge. The fun takes place at Stadium Bar and Grill (232 Old Colony Ave). Suggested donations $25, $50 and $100. Cash bar, food and of course lots of singing.
Run! The Bosotn Police Department and the Boston Police Runners’ Club will host the sixth annual Run to Remember on Saturday, May 26th (9am to 5pm) and Sunday, May 27th (7am to 2pm). Lace up your sneakers and head to the Seaport World Trade Center. There will be a kids’ fun run and fitness expo on Saturday and on Sunday a half-marathon and 5-mile road race. This run will honor law enforcement killed in the line of duty by celebrating their lives and giving back to the community.
