“In this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes.” Since April 15th falls on a Sunday, and Suffolk County celebrates Patriot’s Day on the 16th, your taxes are due on Tuesday, April 17th.  Remember, you can always file for an extension.
 

 

Happy Birthday Fenway Park!  On Wednesday, from 9am to 6pm, the legendary and historic Fenway opens its gates to the public.  Take a tour and check out the vendors.  A great way to spend the day. 

Get a hat trick!  The Mayor’ sCup Youth Street Hockey Tourney will be held from 9am-4pm Tuesday to Saturday (4/17-4/21) at Moakley Park.  Teams will consist of three age groups: U8, U11, U16.  T-shirts will be given to all participants and the Boston Bruins will be on hand with free give-aways!  For more information visit: www.cityofboston.gov/bcyf

Shop till you drop!  Ku de Ta (663 East Broadway) is having a spring sale!  Take an additional 40% off the sale rack this coming Friday, April 20th through Sunday, April 22nd.  Keep your eyes out for designer denim, flirty tops, and luxe handbags. 

Go LOCAL for lunch.  If you haven’t been to Local 149 for lunch yet, what are you waiting for?  Serving up some serious sandwiches, Pinky’s Deli offers house made meats carved fees’ at the bar by an expert “sandwich jockey”. 
Pinky’s sandwich board includes the house made Pink Peppercorn Smoked Turkey with havarti, bourbon bacon and malt vinegar aioli; Duck Club with house cured duck prosciutto and tart cherry bbq sauce; Salty Pig with Patrick’s Ham, soppressata, prosciutto, picked vegetables and cured tomato; and a Hot Pastrami on pumpernickel with mustard. The lunch menu also features a hummus plate, the Local Burger, Statler Chicken Salad, tater tots and spicy pimento cheese fries.  Wash it down with an old fashioned root beer or cream soda.  Yum!
