Happy Birthday Local 149!  Help Local celebrate on Wednesday, March 28th from 7pm-10pm.  They will be showcasing their classics like deviled eggs, fried pickles, and Pat’s charcuterie.  Expect a giant birthday cake, special celebratory giveaways like tickets to Local’s Mixology class, beer dinner for two and lunch gift cards!

Dust off your cowboy boots and help support St. Peter Academy.  The Wild West Dance Party takes place on Friday, March 30th at 7:30pm and you better hold onto your hats.  Featuring the Thomas Park  Band, the world famous St. Peter Academy Dance Troop, and trick rope demos, this fun-filled event promises to be a real hootenanny! There will be food, a cash bar, raffles, dancing, and a rootin’ tooting’ good time.  Tickets $25.  Call 617-268-0750 for more information.

Lace up your bowling shoes and bowl a strike for the South Boston Youth Ambassadors.  On Saturday, March 31st, join your neighbors and friends for a night of bowling, raffles, music and lots of fun.  This 21 plus event kicks off at 7pm at South Boston Bowlarama and the cost is $20. Cash bar available.

Get your taste buds ready!  The 10th Annual Taste of South Boston takes place on Sunday, April 1st  at 6pm.  Featuring over 25 of Southie’s best restaurants, eateries, and specialty shops, attendees will get to sample some amazing culinary creations, Another bonus? The Taste of South Boston’s wine tasting and beer sampling. Entertainment will be provided by a live jazz band from Lucky’s Lounge and the piano stylings of Peter Golemme.

Bonus: Calling all future Picassos and Van Goghs, the Young at Arts painting classes will begin on Monday, March 26 from 4:30-6pm.  All classes are free and include painting materials.  The budding artists will be working with acrylics on canvas boards. The sessions are free to kids from seven to 12. Classes take place at St. Vincent Church rectory, (across from the Church’s main entrance on E Street).
