It’s raining men on Thursday, February 16th at Legal Harborside and for a good cause too.  New Southie is hosting a Valentine’s men’s auction with all proceeds going to the South Boston Collaborative Center.  So if you are looking for love in South Boston, this is the place to be with the promise of handsome bachelors with hearts of gold.  If you are interested in being “auctioned off” or know of anyone that would be perfect for this, contact Phil Sheats at [email protected]. The romance begins at 9:30 pm.

It’s Valentine’s Day on Tuesday so write a love letter!  Nothing expresses how you feel like your own words written on paper.  Writing a love letter is a dying art and will show how much you care.  Just put the pen to the paper and let you heart say the words.  Fold up the letter and slip it in a beautiful Valentine’s card.  You can pick one up at Calnan’s (709 East Broadway).  For other inexpensive Valentine’s Day ideas: https://caughtinsouthie.com/feature/cheap-dates

Please join the Committee to Elect Nick Collins for a re-election kickoff celebration on Thursday, February 16th.  Suggested donation is $20.  Cash bar, food and music.  The fun takes place at The Stadium (232 Old Colony Ave.) at 7pm.

Ku De Ta will be closed this week on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.   The girls will be looking for new items for the shop at a trade show in Vegas.  The store will re-open on Thursday.  We can’t wait to see what new items they come back with!

Kick your heels up Sunday, February 19th and learn how to Irish step dance.  The South Boston Irish American Society is hosting an Irish step tutorial with lessons by the legendary Peggy Woods at the Seapoint Restaurant (367 East Eighth Street).  The cost is $10 (that includes membership for new people).  There will be a cash bar and bring your own snack to share.  Lessons are from 2pm-5pm.  It promises to be a fun-filled afternoon.  Just think of how impressed you friends will be on St. Patrick’s Day.
