Vote! It’s an Election Day!  On Tuesday, November 5th cast your vote for the next mayor of Boston.  Also on the ballot – City Councilor at-Large and District 2 City Councilor.  To find out who the candidates are visit: https://caughtinsouthie.com/ballot  The polls are open from 7am-8pm.

Having a hankering for turkey and stuffing?  KO Pies (87 A Stretet) has an Australian version of of the season favorite, The Thanksgiving Sausage Roll with turkey, sage bread stuffing and cranberries!  While you’re there you might as well get some Potato Wedges too – you’ll thank us later!

Competition – just desserts.  Top chefs from area restaurants, bakeries and culinary schools will put their dessert skills to the test as they compete in the 20th Annual Gingerbread House Competition to benefit Housing Families, Inc. – a non-profit organization dedicated to ending family homelessness in Massachusetts.  This battle of gingerbread and icing will go down on Friday, November 8nd from 10am to 12noon.  The sweet and tasty creations will be judged by a celebrity panel including Caught in Southie’s own Maureen Dahill and her two sons Peter Gailunas (10years old) and Henry Gailunas (9years old). This event is part of the 27th Annual Boston Christmas Festival at the Seaport World Trade Center (200 Seaport Boulevard) all weekend long.  Featuring handcrafted gifts, holiday decorations, jewelry, clothing, pottery, folk art, and gourmet specialty food.   Tickets are $10.  For more information visit www.bostonChristmasFestival.com
