Southie is slowly turning into a shopping mecca.  Another boutique has opened its doors in South Boston.  Covet – a new consignment shop – is located at 395 West Broadway and will feature women’s clothing and accessories.  Stop by and check ’em out!  You never know was little hidden gem is just waiting for you to find it!

Need a good laugh? Laugh Boston – a new comedy club located right here in South Boston –  is featuring a special “Southie Night” and free night of comedy to all Southie residents.  Enjoy the comedy of Jeff Dye on Thursday, October 24th at 8pm compliments of the house.  RSVP: www.laughsouthie.eventbrite.com  Can’t make the 24th? Use the code “SOUTHIE” to get $10 off any show through the end of November.  Laugh – 425 Summer Street at the Westin Waterfront.

How ’bout them Red Sox?  The Red Sox take on the Cardinals in the World Series on The World  Wednesday, October 23rd at 8:07pm at Fenway Park.  We’re getting butterflies just thinking about it.  Wondering where to watch the game?  We’ve got some suggestions: https://caughtinsouthie.com/restaurants-bar/7-places-watch-game

Pssst….here’s a Southie secret.  A little bird told us that they will be filming a scene for the HBO miniseries, Olive Kittridge, at Cafe Arpeggio’s on West Broadway.  Frances McDormand stars as the namesake main character and Tom Hanks is the executive producer.  The series is set in a New England town and has been filming on the North Shore for the past few months.  Although they are filming in Southie, the series itself has nothing to do with our hometown.
