Swim faster. As part of the fun leading up to St. Patrick’s Day, a swim meet will be held at the South Boston Boys and Girls Club pool on Tuesday, March 11th. This event is for children ages 6 and up. The meet begins at 6:00pm. For more information call 617-268-4301.

Blondes vs. Brunettes. Start with an age-old rivalry, then throw in a football field and a worthy cause, and you’ve got Blondes vs. Brunettes (BvB), a flag football game played by 50 of the area’s most talented, driven and inspiring women in their 20’s and 30’s all fundraising for a common cause: to end Alzheimer’s disease. The big game takes place on June 7th at BU. Try-outs will all be located at the Boston Athletic Club (653 Summer Street). The complete try-out schedule is as follows:

-Saturday, March 15, 7-9 am
-Tuesday, March 18, 5:30-7 pm
