Just some suggestions of fun things happening around town

Eat:

Make a reservation and treat yourself to a nice meal on the Boston Harbor.  Del Frisco’s is one of the new additions to the Southie waterfront area on Liberty Wharf.  This top notch steak house has a gorgeous and spacious patio to enjoy a pre-meal cocktail…or two.  To find out the scoop on what to eat, check out Heather Foley’s blog:https://caughtinsouthie.com/blog/heather-foley-fancy

Drink:

The newest addition in Southie to belly up to the bar is Wolfie’s (at the corner of L and East Fourth.)  Sit next to their floor to ceiling retractable windows and share some calamari and ice cold beer.  Guaranteed to mingle with the local  Southie’s “who’s who” at the bar.  See you there!

Taste:

Try some home-grown tomatoes and house-made pesto sauce from South Boston Grows.  This local group that teaches youth about farming will be sampling their goods at American Provision on Saturday, August 20th from 11am-2pm.  Stop by and show your support!

Shop:

South Boston based Rue La La is THE on-line shopping destination!  Have you joined yet?  We highly recommend the Mulberry event showcasing the most coveted “it” bags of the season!  Want to know how to join Rue? Read this https://caughtinsouthie.com/lifestyle/rue-la-la

Habit is 5 years old!  Help them celebrate by stopping by and shopping!  Everything in the shop is 50% off all weekend long!

Ku De Ta is slashing prices too!  Take an additional 50% off their sale rack.

Play:

Red Bull Cliff Diving
The Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series will make its sixth stop of its global tour at Southie’s Fan Pier on August 20.
Rather than natural cliffs, the divers will use the cantilever roof of the Institute of Contemporary Art building as their diving platform which soars 80 feet above the water’s edge.  Yikes! Two-time Olympic Gold medalist Greg Louganis offers his diving expertise as one of five judges on the tour.
This event is free and takes place from 3pm to 6pm.
