Have coffee with the mayor.  On Monday, May 2nd from 9:30-10:30am at M Street Park.   Stop by and have coffee and breakfast treats from Dunkin Donuts and discuss open space and recreational needs with Mayor Tom Menino.  There will also be prizes including Legal Seafood gift certificates and swan boat rides.  Anyone who attends will also receive a lovely flowering plant!  Thanks Mayor Menino!

Celebramos!  Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with Nurture Salon and Spa.  They will be hosting a customer appreciation night on Thursday, May 5th at 6:30 pm at the Playwright (658 East Broadway.)  There will signature cocktails and appetizers for you to enjoy as well as goodie bags filled with beauty products galore! Party on the Harbor this Friday, May 6th at 9pm at the Institute of Contemporary Art (100 Northern Avenue.) On Wednesday, May 4th help support the Friends of Fort Point Channel and celebrate the opening of TAMO (One Seaport Lane.) Whether you’re betting on Uncle Mo or There You Go, watching the Kentucky Derby at Barlow’s is a safe bet for fun!  The 137th running of the Kentucky Derby will take place on Sunday, May 7th.  Tickets are $20 per person and all the proceeds will go to the South Boston Collaborate Center.  There will be a complimentary buffet and hors’d’oeuvres as well as door prizes and prizes for the best-dressed lady and gentleman.  So don’t forget your hats!  This event takes place between 3pm-7pm.
