Trader Joe’s opening Friday

Big News, Southie!  We’ve been waiting with bated breath for the opening of Trader Joe’s and now it’s happening!  According to a media advisory the Fort Point location will open on Friday, October 25th with a grand opening celebration with music, tasting and giveaways!

Pie eating contest

Get your appetites ready! The Playwright is hosting a good old fashioned pie eating contest on Thursday, October 24th at 9pm.  Tickets are $20 for a chance to win $100 gift card.  But really we’re all winners for eating pie.

A special Citizens Connect To Bayside meeting will take pace on Saturday, October 26th from 10am-12:30pm for a planning session for the future Bayside Development at Carson Place – 180 Mt. Vernon Street.  This event has been organized by Andrew Square Civic Association, Columbia Saving Hill Civic Association, Harbor Point Community Task Force, and John McCormack Civic Association.  You can register for this event here!
