New South Station Bike/Bus Lane

Effective Monday, November 18th, a new express bike/bus lane is available on Summer Street between Dot. Ave and Atlantic Ave. heading inbound.  Be aware you will not be able to take a right on Atlantic Ave from Summer Street unless you are on a bike or a bus. Get more details here.

The BPDA will host a public meeting to discuss Washington Village project on Monday, November 18t at 6:30pm at 240 Old Colony Ave. Last month, the developer has filed a notice of project change with the Boston Planning and Development Agency (BPDA) on October 1st. Looks like two buildings will be combined into one with 214 residential units plus retail space.  You can learn more here. 

Prayer Service for St. Vincent de Paul Church

There will be a prayer service in memory of St. Vincent de Paul Church on Monday, November 18th at 6:30pm at St. Peter Lithuanian Church. All current and former members of St. Vincent’s are encouraged to attend and bring any photos, memorabilia, and memories.

Greater Boston Handball Reunion

Whether you play(ed) handball at the L, the Y or the BAC, this event is for you! It’s the Greater Boston Handball Reunion on Saturday, November 23rd from 7pm-Midnight at the Seapoint Bar & Grill – 367 East Eighth Street. Tickets are $15 at the door. Food is provided. Cash bar.

Friendsgiving at Capo

Celebrating Thanksgiving with friends = Friendsgiving. Capo is hosting a special Friendsgiving dinner on Sunday, November 24th from 12pm-10pm. Capo will be featuring a traditional turkey dinner served family style for $45/person. Perfect for gathering friends and giving thanks before the holidays!

L Street Bathhouse Meeting

Please join Boston Centers for Youth & Families, and the City of Boston’s Public Facilities Department for an information session about renovations to the BCYF Curley Community Center in South Boston on Wednesday, November 20th at 6 p.m. This meeting will share space design ideas and big visions based on feedback that was provided by the community at the September meeting and over 200 online and paper surveys that were filled out following the meeting. The meeting will be held at BCYF Curley Community Center, M Street entrance, 1663 Columbia Road, South Boston. You can learn more here!
