Open for business

Down at the Rink (D@TR) – the new an improved snack shack located adjacent to the Murphy Rink – will be back for a new season on May 20th!  The menu offers high quality grilled “fast food” all under $8.  You can enjoy wagyu hot dogs, hot and sweet Italian sausages with onions and peppers, bratwurst with sauerkraut, pizza, Caesar and Tomato-Mozzarella salads and more.  The menu also includes slushies, lemonade, soft drinks, and an iced coffee bar.  D@TR is owned and operated by Boston restaurant veteran Sean Sullivan and former Mandarin Oriental, Boston chef Damian Zedower.  Beginning May 20th D@TR will be open 11 AM to 9 PM, 7 days a week. There is a free parking lot connected to the DCR Murphy Memorial Rink, in addition to ample free street parking.

Sweatfixx – Southie’s wildly popular fitness studio – offers a noontime class on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays for just $10.  On Tuesday take a sculpt class.  On Thursdays and Fridays it’s row!  Get the details here!

The Supper Club at Capo is now offering 7 nights of entertainment with the new addition of Reggae Night!  On Wednesday, Conscious Reggae will be performing!  Make a plan to sway to the mellow beats beginning at 8pm.

Memorial Day Service

The William Fitzgerald Post is hosting their annual Memorial Day service on Monday, May 27th:

0900 – Assembly at Post

0930 – Parade/March to Medal of Honor Park for the laying of the wreath ceremony at the SB Vietnam Veterans Memorial

Brunch will follow back at the Fitzgerald post.

Reduce, reuse, recycle

Mark your calendars! On Saturday, June 1st the City of Boston is hosting an electronics and clothing recycling event.  Head to City Hall with your textiles, clothing and electronics from 9am-1pm.
