Businesses are getting creative during pandemic times. Fun outdoor patios with festive lights + decor plus cocktails to go are the new normal. Well, Fare Well – a blue shipping container turned kitchen offering creative, comfort food for takeout like scalzones, tacos, and grain bowls is adding outdoor movies to the mix.

According to Boston Restaurant Blogspot, the owners of Fare Well located on Dry Dock Ave, will be opening Moonrise Cinema, an outdoor movie theater set up outside the Innovations and Design Center (23 Drydock Ave). Best part? You can enjoy small bites like fancy popcorn and big bites like scalzones (a calzone in a scallion pancake wrapper while you watch a movie. You can order your snacks online an they’ll be brought to your seat!

No cocktails yet. But you’re encourage to visit MayDay! (a cocktail pop-up from Chickadee) next door at 21 Drydock to grab a drink before the show!

Moonrise Cinema is kicking things off with the beloved classic (featuring Dorchester’s own Patrick Renna) The Sandlot. Tickets are $30 for an 8ft by 8ft area (fits 4 sitting closely or 2 very comfortably). BYOB – bring your own blanket or beach chair. You can reserve your tickets here.

We can’t wait to go!
