South Boston Playwright Hosts Table Read of New Dark Comedy at the Library

A little dark comedy is coming to the South Boston Branch Library, and you can be part of the show. South Boston resident Christine Anne Linnane will host a public table read of her new play, Welcome to Paradise: A Dark Comedy, on Thursday, October 29th, from 6pm to 7:30pm.
Co-written with Garth Napier, the play is inspired by cartel violence in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, in February 2026, and takes a darkly comedic look at events.
Attendees can sign up to read a role or simply sit back and watch. A discussion will follow the reading, giving the playwrights feedback as they develop their work. Light refreshments will also be served.
The event takes place at the South Boston Branch Library, 646 East Broadway. Registration is encouraged.
