Medal of Honor Day Event
Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker and Boston Mayor Kim Janey will be joined by MOH Recipient and Massachusetts resident Capt. Thomas G. Kelley, USN Ret., for a short speaking program before a flag-raising and wreath-laying ceremony to recognize National Medal of Honor Day, which every March 25 designated by Congress honors the Recipients of the Medal of Honor.
The event will take place on Thursday, March 25th at 11:30am at Medal of Honor Park in South Boston
This event will also recognize the upcoming return to Boston in September of many of the 69 living Medal of Honor Recipients for an unprecedented fourth time. We ask all Medal of Honor Day participants to wear masks and observe social distancing.
UPDATE: Post Medal of Honor Event, newly sworn in Mayor Kim Janey stopped by Deja Brew and American Provisions and supported local small business! Nice!
