Looking for a new hobby that connects you to community—and gives back? Mei Mei’s got you covered with Mahjong on a Mission!
On the third Sunday of every month from 11am–1pm, Mei Mei hosts a lively Hong Kong–style mahjong meetup that’s all about fun, learning, and local love. Each session donates 50% of ticket sales to a featured neighborhood nonprofit, like November’s sold-out event benefitting Project Bread. Upcoming dates include December 21, January 18, February 15, March 15, and April 19.
Perfect for total newbies, beginners, and patient intermediates, the event includes a quick tutorial, game sets, printed guides, and even some free snacks and hot tea to keep the good vibes flowing. Just be warned—if you end up at Elaine’s table (aka MOMM, “Mother of Mei Mei” and Chef Irene), you’ll be calling out every tile in Mandarin before you play it!
Food and beverages will be available once the café opens at noon, and all the details—from parking to prep videos—can be found at meimeidumplings.com/cafe.
Mahjong, community, and giving back—now that’s a winning hand.
