Light Up Seaport brings Boston together to celebrate the kick-off to the holiday season. Now in its seventh year, the community event will feature a tree lighting, live entertainment, and can’t-miss offers and surprises from Seaport’s incredible mix of retailers and restaurants.

On Friday, December 1^st, Boston’s largest holiday tree (50ft.), adorned with 10,000 twinkling lights, will be lit. This year’s tree lighting program will be hosted by Segun Oduolowu and NBC Sports Boston’s Amina Smith, and include performances by Boston Children’s Chorus, Coral Moons, Miranda Rae, and The Gracenotes, a featured headlining band of Grace by Nia. It will be broadcast on NBC10 Boston, Peacock, and Roku in a special live edition of The HUB Today. The celebratory evening will also feature Seaport’s annual Holiday Stroll throughout the neighborhood where 50+ Seaport retailers and restaurants will be offering exclusive one-night-only promotions. Participating locations include Stio, injeanius, Aēsop, rag & bone, Todd Snyder, Fjällräven, Helly Hansen, and newly opened shops, Rhone, Brave Daughters, as well as the P448 pop-up. Guests can also enjoy complimentary bites and sips from retailers, aerialist performers, and a special appearance by Seaport’s star celebrity, Betty the Yeti, at her new home, Betty’s Blizzard Bluff, located in The Superette Courtyard. Light Up Seaport is a part of Snowport, a fantastical winter wonderland of good times, gifts, games, art, food, and special events, including outdoor iceless curling, The Tree Market (opening November 17), an annual Menorah Lighting (December 10), and the iconic The Holiday Market at Snowport, in Partnership with Constant Contact, and created with The Makers Show.
