Join the Festivities at the Eighth Annual Light Up Seaport

Light Up Seaport brings Boston together for a magical night of fun and entertainment. Now in its eighth year, the highly anticipated community event kicks off the holiday season with a tree lighting, live entertainment, and a special appearance by Seaport’s star celebrity, Betty the Yeti.

On Friday, December 6, Boston’s largest holiday tree, standing at 52-feet tall and adorned with over 10,000 twinkling lights, will be lit. The program, hosted by Cheermeisters Ashlee Feldman & Amina Smith, will feature live music performances on Seaport Common by popular local acts Boston City Singers, Divine Sweater, The Gracenotes, and ToriTori. It will be broadcast on NBC10 Boston and streaming platforms such as Peacock and Roku in a special live edition of The HUB Today. Also, not to be missed – a special meet and greet with Betty the Yeti at Betty’s Blizzard Bluff in The Superette Courtyard. After hanging with Betty, guests can shop and dine at some of her favorite Seaport spots, including Brave DaughtersVan LeeuwenStaudMia’s Bakery, and Alo at The Superette, and the various pop-up shops at The Current Chalets, located alongside Seaport Common. Light Up Seaport is a part of Snowport, the spectacular winter wonderland of good times, gifts, games, art, food, shopping, and special events. All season long, the neighborhood is brimming with holiday cheer and an abundance of exciting activities and events, including outdoor iceless curling at The Snowport Curling Lanes brought to you by Mass General Brigham Health Plan, freshly cut trees and evergreen trimmings at The Tree Market, the annual Menorah Lighting (December 29), sightings of Betty the YetiSnowport’s official mascot, and of course, the iconic The Holiday Market at Snowport Presented by Constant Contact.

Find Betty at home on her ice throne surrounded by 60+ lit faux evergreen trees and icebergs. She’ll be snapping photos with her fans throughout the evening!
