Get ready to deck the halls: Introducing the first annual Caught in Southie Holiday Stoop Decorating Competition!
Haul out the Holly! Caught in Southie is proud to announce the inaugural Caught in Southie Holiday Stoop Decorating Competition to benefit the South Boston Neighborhood House!
The Mission of the South Boston Neighborhood House (The Ollie) is “to support family and neighborhood life in South Boston.” The South Boston Neighborhood House is the oldest continuously-operated community based non-profit in South Boston, and we’ve been going strong for 123 years! So how does it work?
If you’re interested in competing, you sign up here and then get decorating. A $50 competition fee will go directly to the South Boston Neighborhood House. (To participate, you must have access to your stoop so people can stroll by and check out the decorations.). To Participate Email: [email protected]
Prizes will be awarded for:
- Best Overall
- Most Creative
- Funniest
- The Honorary Charlie Brown Award
- Crowd Favorite
Once our contestants are signed up and decorated, a special map will be generated for residents to check out and get in the holiday spirit.
Save the Date
On Sunday, December 22nd, from 4pm-7pm, friends and neighbors will be invited to a formal Holiday Stoop Stroll through the neighborhood. Each participating home will be offering refreshments and entertainment for you to enjoy. There is a $10 fee for a wristband to attend. The money raised will go directly to the South Boston Neighborhood House!
This event will be a fun way to explore the neighborhood, see how creative our residents are and get into the holiday spirit. Plus, you’ll be helping to raise funds for an amazing South Boston organization! So, really, it’s a win/win!
