The Great Mr. Swindle’s Traveling Peculiarium is back!
Get ready, Southie! The Swindler is back in town! The Great Mr. Swindle’s Traveling Peculiarium and Drink-Ory Garden, the irreverent, outlandish and unpredictable traveling tented entertainment experience that won over Boston audiences last year, is returning to the Seaport District with a new show. Audiences can look forward to new and unbelievable feats, bizarre comedy and other unexpected surprises on the grounds of Harpoon Brewery, from October 12 – November 5. ZaZibar Opens this Week
Another new restaurant for the Seaport District. ZaZibar, a new Caribbean Asian restaurant will open on Seaport Boulevard (next to Lululemon) on October 1oth. This is the third spot from chef Olrie Roberts, with restaurants in Hyde Park and Boston City Hall! ZaZibar will feature a black and gold Roaring Twenties aesthetic complete with a tropical lounge patio, and a vegan-focused menu.
Host a Halloween Block Party
Recently, the City of Boston announced a new streamlined application process to make it easier for residents to host Halloween block parties to ensure that children and their families can safely trick or treat. By closing neighborhood side streets to vehicle traffic during trick or treating, community members can create a celebratory and safe environment for kids to enjoy the holiday. The Boston Transportation Department (BTD) has streamlined the play street application process to make it easier to host a block party and to ensure applications are considered and approved swiftly. Residents and community groups who are interested can apply to host a Halloween block party here.
