Movie Night at The LOT

Head on over to The LOT, 383 Dot Ave., this Thursday, August 1st, for a movie showing of Frozen! Entry is free, and popcorn, snacks, and drinks will be served from the Cantina to enjoy with the movie. Doors will open at 7 PM for face painting and games before the movie, which begins at 8PM. Be sure to bring your own chairs and blankets for extra comfort, as limited seats are available! The BAA is hosting a special Neighborhood Fitness Series event at Carson Beach on August 1. This fun run/walk is a free community event for all ages. Bib pick-up begins at 4:30 p.m., and the race begins at 6:00 p.m. You can register here.

On Saturday, August 3rd at 11am, Publico is hosting a special Bonfire Cake Night with the Sugar Connection Bake Shop!  Gather round to create a cake with crackling flames and roasted mini marshmallows, while sipping on brink drinks! Tickets are $55 and can be purchased here!  Sneak a peak at what you’ll be making here! 

Ain’t no party like a Paw-Tio Party

Ain’t no party like a dog party! After a wildly popular event last summer, on Tuesday, July 30, The Broadway is hosting a Paw-Tio Party from 5:30pm-8pm on the patio! Maker Scholar will be setting up shop with her famous pet portraits! Get a custom drawing of your good boy/girl done while you sip and mingle with other dog owners! Plus, there will be fun prizes and treats!

Free Arts + Crafts for Kids at Medal of Honor Park

The Boston Parks and Recreation Department’s annual ParkARTS program is pleased to announce the return of free Arts & Crafts Workshops for children. From West Roxbury to East Boston, kids ages three to ten can enjoy a wide variety of arts and crafts activities led by local artists at the workshops held from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. This week this fun and free event takes place Thursday, August 1st, 8th and 15th.
