Heat Emergency in effect for Sunday and Monday in the City of Boston.  Here are some helpful tips and information to stay safe and cool.  Check on your elderly neighbors too!

The Children’s Museum is reopening

The Boston Children’s Museum is reopening on Wednesday! The Museum will be open Wednesday through Sunday in two time slots, 10am-12:30pm and 2pm-4:30pm with limited capacity. Advanced reservations are required, so book your tickets online here!

Suffolk Downs will be transformed into a drive-in movie each Thursday night at 8:30pm.  This Thursday Field of Dreams will be the featured film.  Food trucks will be on site so you can grab some snacks while you watch the movie!  You can purchase tickets and learn more here. 

Chef-a-thon

Lovin’ Spoonfuls presents Chef-a-thon July 20th-24th.  Join chefs Jamie Bissonnette, Joanne Chang, Colin Lynch,  Andrew Zimmerman & Mike O’Connell for cooking demos, mixology lessons and virtual Q&A.  Featuring special guests Robert Phillips, Alicia Towns Franken, TJ Douglas and Lisa Anne Grimm.  Proceeds from his online event benefit Lovin’ Spoonfuls and restaurant partners impacted by COVID-19.   You can purchase your tickets here! 

No such thing as a free ride

The MBTA will resume fare collection on buses, on trolleys at street-level stops on the Green Line and Mattapan Line, and on the Commuter Rail beginning Monday, July 20.  You can the details here.
