Oíche Gaeilge / Irish Language Night at South Boston Public Library

Fáilte!  Have you ever wondered how to start speaking a new language? Join us for a casual introduction to speaking one of the oldest languages in the world — often known to people as Gaelic or Irish — An teanga Ghaeilge.  Local speakers Seán Cahill and Maureen McCarthy will lead a casual introduction to some basic Irish words, the history, and even a song.  The South Boston Branch of the BPL has a collection of books for adults and children in Irish or support learning the Irish Language thanks to the donation by Údarás na Gaeltachta.  Takes place on Thursday, February 13th from 6pm-7pm.
