The much anticipated Hunter’s Kitchen + Bar will officially open its doors on Tuesday, August 10th at 4pm. (Initially Hunter’s was hoping to open Monday – but they are giving the staff a day of rest before the official opening on Tuesday! Featuring a menu full of the comfort classics such as biscuits, fried chicken, ribs, shrimp and grits, chicken and waffles – all the best the south has to offer!  Raise your glass to a beverage menu filled with fun southern inspired cocktails (a few mocktails) plus beer and wine! Dog Fest South Boston

A group of ambitious Southie kids have organized a special event to raise awareness of the importance of adopting dogs vs. purchasing them from breeders. They’ve organized a special event Dog Fest South Boston – taking place Thursday, August 12th from 5pm-7pm at the First Street Dog Park.  There will be raffles, treats for your dogs, and you’ll be supporting this great group of kids! Dine Out Boston returns August 8th-21st. Enjoy lunch for $15, $20, $25 and dinner for $28,$33 and $38 Participating restaurants offer prix fixe menus for lunch and dinner. Each participating restaurant selects one of the three price options. There are six restaurants in the the neighborhood participating – you can check them out here! 

Save the date! Colin’s Joy Neighborhood Pizza Party

It is Colin’s 6th birthday! Join Colin’s Joy Project for a neighborhood pizza party at DCR’s Marine Park on Farragut Road on August 28th from 12-2pm. This will be an event not to be missed – fun, games, music, bouncy house, slushies, and of course, pizza! As your gift to Colin, please bring an item to be donated to one of our community partners – diapers of all sizes, wipes; gift cards to Famous Footwear, Target and CVS for back to school sneakers and supplies, school supplies (crayons, markers, pencils, notebooks, paper, glue), and NEW backpacks. No tickets necessary, all are welcome!
