MBTA Bus Schedule Changes Start August 28th

The MBTA today issued its Fall 2022 Bus Service Schedules taking effect on August 28. The MBTA typically adjusts service schedules quarterly to reflect the levels of service being delivered.  For a full listing of all upcoming service changes for all modes, please visit mbta.com/servicechanges.

And if you’re wondering – did they increase service on the 7 + 9 during rush hour? No, they did not.  The MBTA decreased service.  For the #7 – Frequency decreases between 4:30 PM and 6:30 PM on weekdays. For the #9 – Frequency decreases between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM and between 5:00 PM and 7:30 PM on weekdays. You can see the full list of changes here.

Evidently, the MBTA missed our posts about the lines at L + Broadway waiting for the #7 in the morning.
