The South Boston Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the South Boston Neighborhood Development Corporation is pleased to announce that the 21st Annual South Boston Street Festival will take place on Saturday, September 18, 2021. Over the past twenty years, the festival has grown significantly and has become South Boston’s most highly anticipated events, attracting over 5,000 residents and visitors.

This year’s festival will once again feature “The Best of South Boston” including over 90 businesses, artists and community organizations, which will fill the festival area from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

Live Entertainment

Live entertainment will take place on two stages providing festival goers with a fun filled day for the entire family. Entertainment will include performances by southies own classic rock and top 40’s cover band Thomas Park, country singer and songwriter Houston Bernard, and Boston’s finest party dance band Guilty Pleasure. There will also be performances by the Wood’s School of Irish Step Dance, Miss Linda’s Dancers, Ultimate Self Defense + Performance Center, along with up–and-coming youth talent from our good friend Michael Caputo.

Children’s Activities

FREE children’s activities will include balloon twisters, caricature artists, and costumed characters from Sesame Street. Cinderella will also be making a special appearance. Be sure to keep an eye out for a roaming band of Pirates.

Drink + Dine Alfresco

Alfresco dining and libations will be available at: The Broadway, The Playwright, Roza Lyons, Deja Brew, Café Porto Bello, and the Paramount.

Grab + Go

Enjoy a great selection of grab and go options from some of South Boston’s favorite food spots including: LuLu Green, Larry J’s BBQ Cafe, Publico, Sal’s Ristorante & Pizzeria, Sweet Tooth Boston, and The Sausage Guy.

Shopping

Shop until-you-drop – enjoy outstanding one-day-only savings from local retailers including; Bringing Up Baby, Bohdi, Deirfiur Home, Habit, House of Ivy, In Good Company, Liz on E, Love Child, Neatly Nested Design, On Centre, Southie’s Own, Stapleton Floral, and many more.

Local Art

Local artists from South Boston will include: Dan McCole, Norman Crump, Deb Putnam, along with several artists from the Fort Point Arts Community (FPAC) – that will be displaying and selling their art.
