shark sighting in Southie?

We’re getting reports that there’s a strange fish swimming around Fort Point Channel!   “It might be a shark!”  It’s not a shark it’s in fact a mola mola (type of sunfish) swimming around Boston Harbor.  There have been mola mola swimming in Pleasure Bay in the past so they are in the area. We have to admit, the mola mola is more frightening looking than a shark but then again, we freak out if we see seaweed in the ocean.

Castle Island is no stranger to wildlife.  There have been sitings of snowy owls, swans, coyotes, whales and even a sea serpent.
