Woman arrested for attacking EMS supervisor in South Boston
WHDH is reporting a 37-year-old woman is facing assault charges after police say she attacked an EMS supervisor on Thursday afternoon in South Boston. State police were conducting a traffic stop at Preble Circle heard a man yelling and spotted a woman trying to push past a Boston EMS supervisor trying to enter 313 Old Colony Ave. EMS were working to help a person found unresponsive inside that building.
The woman, later identified as Donna A. Taylor, of Boston. Taylor was arrested on charges of assault on ambulance personnel, assault and battery on a person over the age of 60, assault and battery, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and disturbing the peace. It was also discovered that Taylor was the subject of a Boston Municipal Court warrant charging her with larceny over $1,200 and destruction of property valued under $1,200.
Police also say several people on the sidewalk began filming the assault on the EMS supervisor on their cellphones without trying to help the EMS supervisor. Come on, people.
This attack just comes the same week as an EMT was attacked with a pair of scissors downtown near the courthouse on New Chardon St. A fundraising effort has been started to help this EMT. Â
