If you were anywhere near South Bay Mall on Saturday night, you may have seen a heavy BPD presence—and for good reason. Things got a little out of control after more than 100 young people reportedly gathered in the area just after 5:00 p.m.

According to the Boston Herald, Boston Police responded around 5:25 p.m. to break up the crowd, but instead of heading home, many just relocated to the bus stop at 11 Allstate Road. That’s when things took a turn.

Officers say a fight broke out almost immediately, and they ended up arresting six juveniles, ranging in age from 13 to 17. Charges included everything from assault and battery on a police officer to resisting arrest and even assault with a dangerous weapon. Yikes.

One 13-year-old girl allegedly struck an officer in the nose while being asked to leave. Meanwhile, a 17-year-old male and a 15-year-old female were both found with pellet rifles. Police say they watched them aim and pull the trigger (yes, at officers), and when they tried to step in, things escalated even further. One officer was pushed in the chest, and the female reportedly ran from the scene.  The female later arrived at District C-6 where she was arrested.

Thankfully, no serious injuries were reported, but it was a chaotic scene for sure.
