Show your love and support, Southie

On February 20th, South Boston resident Whitney Hardy was hit by a car at the intersection of I and Day Blvd. while out for her evening run. While the extent of her injuries and their lasting effects remain unknown, one certainty is that Whitney is in for a long, difficult road to recovery.

With a day that began like any other, with plans of her upcoming wedding and looking forward to a trip home to Truckee, CA to scout wedding venues, ended with Whitney fighting for her life. As a means to support Whitney, and her fiance Dan and their families, the #FightHardy movement has started and they need your help, Southie! To date, there has been a tremendous outpouring of love and support for both families. The #FightHardy movement is about ensuring that the love and support of her friends, family and communities continue, unwavering. Above all else, the main objective of this effort is to help the Hardy and Stebbins families focus on what is most important, Whitney’s recovery.

Special Event:Join Whitney’s friends and family at a special fundraiser on Monday, March 31st from 6pm-9pm at Lincoln – 425 West Broadway.

By donating to this movement, you can help ensure that Whitney and Dan need not focus on medical bills, rehabilitation costs, and living expenses along the road to recovery. In addition to the funds that are raised, there will also be events and gatherings in Boston, New York, and Truckee which will provide everyone the opportunity to come together and show their love and support for Whitney. With Whitney’s strength, Dan’s commitment, the support of their families, and your aid, we can help Whitney #FightHardy throughout this trying time.
