Woman assaulted in cab

On August 6th a woman was picked up by a unlicensed taxi on Northern Avenue in the waterfront district of South Boston.  She was taken to Newton and raped on the property of the Daly Memorial Rink.  According to the Boston Herald, the state police did not release information to the public for more than 10 days due to a dispute over who has jurisdiction of the Seaport District – the Boston Police or the Massachusetts State Police.

So people, please be safe when getting into cabs.  The buddy-system always works best!

Stay safe, Southie!

I wish the State Police would just stay out of everything that has to do with the city of Boston. Thanks to them and their fight to try and get some ink in the paper, South Boston women have been taking cabs for over a week not knowing that there is a rapist creep behind one of the wheels. Take a step back staties and let the real city police officers do their jobs…

So basically I can’t leave my house? I hope these attacks subside. It’s pretty scary being a young female in Southie and hearing about all of these attacks on women in my neighborhood. Maybe I should of taken that self defense class. Will there be any more safety classes coming up? :/

I think the answer is probably not to get into UNLICENSED CABS rather than barricade yourself in the house.

Basically there was one certifiably crazy guy who committed 3 crimes, take that guy out of the equation and nobody “dosen’t feel safe” in Southie.

Free classes at ultimate self defense every Monday and Wednesday through August. Class begins at 7pm.
