Verizon Meeting in Southie
Have you notice the fleet of Verizon trucks in the lot on West First Street in Southie? Yeah, we did too. This fleet will be bringing Fios to the City of Boston one neighborhood at a time – ironically – Southie is towards the bottom of the list even though our neighborhood is being inconvenienced by the traffic generated by the 300 plus trucks coming and going. Talk about insult to injury!
According to State Representative Nick Collins’ office, a public meeting will be held in the next few weeks to address concerns from the neighborhood re: traffic, noise, public safety and other community concerns. The meeting will be held at the Boston Athletic Club within the next few weeks. Date and time TBD. Stay tuned for more details.
