Vehicle Inspections Back in Action in Massachusetts

After being shut down for weeks thanks so a malware attack, the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles announced that vehicle inspections will resume on Saturday at most stations.
Inspections were paused after Applus Technologies – the third-party operator which facilitates vehicle inspections – had a malware attack on March 30.
Drivers with expired March 2021 inspection stickers and April 2021 inspection stickers will be allowed to get inspections through May 31, 2021. Newly purchased vehicles have a grace periods until April 30, 2021.
