Vehicle Barriers Around the Neighborhood ahead of St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Wondering what the heck these things are?
The City of Boston and BPD have installed several vehicle barriers in the neighborhood along and around the parade route. This “drop and stop” technology helps stop unauthorized vehicles and protects people in pedestrian areas, events, construction zones, and critical sites.
You can read more about these barriers here.
Boston Police has also issued an advisory about “celebrating responsibly” which you can read here.
