Update:
At approximately 3:35 PM yesterday State Police patrols and detectives responded to reports of an unresponsive man found on Carson Beach in the area of H Street. The male, who was determined to be deceased, was found on the sand approximately 25 feet from the water.
The deceased was identified. He was 51 and was believed to be homeless. At this time there is no evidence of foul play. The man’s body was transported to the Medical Examiner’s office for examination.
The man’s name is not being released at this time. The ongoing investigation into his death is being conducted by the State Police Detective Unit for Suffolk County and State Police Troop H.

At approximately 1:30 p.m. today Troopers responded to reports of a drowning at Carson Beach in Boston. Boston Police is the primary agency for the investigation and all media inquiries should be directed to that department.
At approximately 3:30 p.m. today Troopers responded to reports of an unresponsive man on Carson Beach in the area of H Street. At this time it does not appear to be a drowning. The incident remains under investigation.
