Update: Person arrested in connection with American flags vandalized in South Boston- Local Elected Officials Release a Statement

Update: 

According to officials, a 24-year-old man from Somerville was arrested in connection with American flags being vandalized in the neighborhood last week.  Here’s a statement from local elected officials.

According to City Councilor Ed Flynn and a post on the Facebook account, South Boston Community Bulletin Board, American flags were vandalized overnight (Tuesday into Wednesday) in the neighborhood, including the Farragut Statue, Medal of Honor Park, and the Korean War Memorial.

Flynn hosted a meeting at Medal of Honor Park on Wednesday at 12 pm, along with local elected officials, local veterans, and the  Commissioner of Veteran Services, Robert Santiago.
