UPDATE: Cancel Missing Person Alert: 89-Year-Old Alfredo Romero of South Boston has been safely located.
The Boston Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating 89-year-old Alfredo Romero of South Boston, who was last seen at approximately 1:30 PM on Monday, April 6, 2026, near the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue and Harrison Avenue in the South End, traveling in the direction of Washington Street. Romero is reported to have a cognitive impairment.
Romero is described as a male, approximately 5 feet 2 inches tall. He was last seen wearing a black cap, a blue, black, and white jacket, beige pants, and black sneakers.
The Boston Police Department is actively working to locate Alfredo Romero and urges anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to call 911 or contact District D-4 Detectives at (617) 343-5619.
