Traffic Alert: Fuel Spill in the Ted Williams Tunnel – Eastbound lane closed for the next few hours.

According to MassDOT, the Eastbound lane of the Ted Williams Tunnel closed after a fuel spill on Monday morning. Just after 9 a.m., a crash caused a truck to leak diesel fuel – a 300-gallon tank to be exact. A level 2 hazmat incident was initially ordered meaning a spill has occurred that is greater than 50 gallons. Yikes. Cleanup expected to last several hours.
The location in the tunnel is I-90 – 93 N
