The Prince and Princess of Wales will visit Boston this week for the second annual Earthshot Prize Awards Ceremony. They arrive on Wednesday and will be visiting until Friday.

Inspired by President John F. Kennedy’s “Moonshot” speech, the Earthshot Prize, is a global environmental prize that aims to discover, celebrate and scale the best solutions to help repair the planet.

The winners will be announced at the MGM Music Hall in the Fenway neighborhood as part of an all-star show featuring Billie Eilish, Annie Lennox, Ellie Goulding and Chloe x Halle. It will also include a video narrated by naturalist David Attenborough and actor Cate Blanchett.

Prizes will be presented by actor Rami Malek, comedian Catherine O’Hara, and actor and activist Shailene Woodley. The show will be co-hosted by the BBC’s Clara Amfo and American actor and producer Daniel Dae Kim.

During the Boston trip, William and Kate will attend a special event with Boston Mayor Michelle Wu, visit Greentown Labs in Somerville, visit the Chelsea nonprofit organization Roca and visit the Center on the Developing Child at Harvard University. Prince William will also visit the JFK Presidential Library and Museum with Ambassador Caroline Kennedy.

This will be the first time the prince and princess have visited the United States since 2014.

P.S. If you want to sneak a peek at the royal couple, there is a public welcome event with Mayor Michelle Wu at City Hall Plaza on Wednesday at 4:45 p.m.
