Mass Live is reporting that the body of a South Boston man who has been missing since November was recovered on Tuesday in the Neponset River.  John Wesley Young III, 57, was last seen the day before Thanksgiving and was reported missing by his family.

Although authorities have not confirmed whether it was Young’s body, Mass Live reports that many details about the body released by the Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office match Young’s case.

You can get the full details here.

See MSP report below:

At 9:10 AM today (Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2024), Massachusetts State Police patrols, detectives, and specialized units responded to the banks of the Neponset River, in the area of the Neponset Valley Yacht Club, off Granite Avenue in Milton after a partially submerged body was observed. MSP divers recovered the body shortly after 11 AM. The decedent appears to be an adult male.

The investigation into the facts and circumstances of the man’s death will be conducted by the State Police Detective Unit for Norfolk County with assistance from the MSP Crime Scene Services Section and the state’s Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

That area has alot of marsh land especially on the East Milton Granite Ave Side. Anything can get caught in that marsh land and might never be found unless you actually go into the marshes and walk through them. I lived near there and did on several occasions as a kid. Years later as an adult I walked through them again and to my shock and surprise I found my stolen Red Schwien Bike stuck in the mud at low tide. I was 12 when it was stolen.
Low Tide anywhere always tells the Truth!
