According to the Boston police, on Tuesday, December 17th at approximately 6:44pm a white male handed a note demanding money to the clerk behind the counter.  By the time the BPD arrived, the suspect fled the scene with some cash.

At about 6:44 PM, Tuesday, December 17, 2013, officers from District C-6 (South Boston) responded to a radio call for a Robbery in Progress in the area of 555 E. Broadway Street in South Boston.
On arrival, officers spoke with the male victim who stated that he had been robbed. The victim described the suspect as a white male, late twenties to early thirties, approximately 6 feet tall, 200-220 lbs., wearing a black fleece zipped up to cover the bottom of his face. The victim stated that the suspect passed a note. The suspect fled with scene with U.S. Currency.  
The Boston Police Department is actively investigating facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information is asked to call District C-6 (South Boston) detectives at 617-343-4742.
