We all know squirrels are jerks. They rip apart your trash, get inside people’s walls and eat wires, and run out into the middle of traffic. Well, now they’re trying to ruin Christmas! Yes, Christmas.
The Boston Globe is reporting that squirrels are eating through the strands of Christmas lights on trees in the Boston Common. According to the Boston Parks and Recreations Department, squirrels love the taste of copper. Over 60 trees in the Common area have lights and many of them have gone out thanks to the jerky squirrels.
The company in charge of the lights – Your Electrical Solutions – is now using Critter Ridder – a new organic product that will help drive the squirrels away.
