Stop & Shop strike is over – employees are back to work.

After a week and a half of striking for fair pay and better benefits, Stop & Stop employees are back at work Monday with a tentative deal on the table. The strike is over.
Evidently the strike was effective and resulted in visits to the supermarket dropping by 75 percent. The strike also got some national public figures showing their support for the union workers too.
We’re hoping this strike will bring attention to the fact that the South Boston Stop & Shop needs some updates and improvements. We deserve better.
