State Police Gang Unit Arrests Fleeing Fentanyl Trafficker After Struggle

Shortly before 7:30 p.m. members of the Massachusetts State Police Gang Unit attempted to stop a vehicle in the area of Route 9 in Boston. The suspect vehicle fled from police and a brief pursuit ensued. The fleeing suspect drove into the garage, located at 375 Longwood Ave., which belongs to a group representing medical, academic, and scientific organizations in the Longwood area.
MSP Troopers and Boston Police Officers located the male suspect in the garage. The suspect fought violently in an attempt to avoid capture but was subdued and taken into custody and has been transported to State Police-South Boston for booking.
The suspect is being charged with fentanyl trafficking, assault and battery on a police officer, and motor vehicle offenses.
