Attention Southie drivers: Stay away from the Broadway Station area of town – Dorchester Ave and West Fourth Street to be exact. There is a giant sinkhole. After a water main break at 2am early Saturday morning, a giant sinkhole formed and an MBTA bus got stuck in it! Luckily no one was one the bus and no one was hurt. Crews are working to fix the broken pipe and the giant hole.
The bus has been removed but the sinkhole remains. So avoid the area by car today but make sure to visit the local business in that area by foot!
