Way to go, Jill!

On Thursday night, the City of Boston will celebrate the 2023 Shattuck Awards!  This year’s Shattuck Awards for exceptional public service honors and recognizes ten city employees and two civic leaders. Southie native Jill Gregorio Cox and Assistant Commissioner of Building + Structures Division Inspectional Services is receiving this award!

Jill lives in South Boston with her husband, Jim, and two daughters, Molly and Devin. She is also the daughter of Mary and Manny Gregorio.

About the Shattuck Awards

Celebrating 38 years of honoring individuals for their dedicated service to the City of Boston and the Boston community.  Each year, the Shattuck Awards Committee receives many worthy nominations from department heads, peers, and business leaders – highlighting candidates that go above and beyond their job descriptions.  The Committee evaluates each nomination and selects a few – the everyday heroes of public service to thank them for a job well done.

Each recipient exemplifies the integrity, initiative, leadership and commitment to the public good that Henry L. Shattuck personified as Chairman of the Research Bureau for 17 years.

The award recipients will be honored on Thursday at the Seaport Hotel!
