This past Friday night, around 10:45pm, a woman was walking to her home in City Point when she was approached at the corner of N and 6th by a group of about 5 teenagers wearing bandanas covering their faces. They surrounded her and threatened to shoot her but showed no gun. One of the teens grabbed the victim’s phone from behind. The group then ran off. BPD are investigating.
If anyone has any information about this incident, they should reach out to Boston Police Department C-6 at 617-343-4730.

The police report only stated teenagers – 13 to 15 years old.

It certainly WOULD have been helpful if the article had mentioned the race of the kids– let’s put political correctness aside –because we’re talking about violence or the threat of violence to our loved ones who have to walk in the area where this happened. I’m not espousing some kind of latent Third-Reich mentality here, merely a certain something that is lacking in society: Common Sense.
If my wife were walking home from the bus and saw a group of ______(whatever description) kids on or near that corner, it would be helpful to have the description of them so she could avoid them and thus avoid aggravation.

100% agree! It’s a PSA to the neighborhood to be aware. No matter which race, be aware that there are a group of dangerous teenagers acting like punks in the neighborhood. What we should be doing is forming a neighborhood watch – like McGruff the Crime Dog!

The store on the corner has cameras, so I’m sure they can get a good description of these teenagers if they frequent the area. Probably just some punks.
