Southie comes through to make a Christmas in July birthday wish a reality!

When Daniel Romano announced — last minute, of course — that he wanted a full-blown “Christmas in July” birthday, his mom, Andrea, did what any good parent would do: panic-order every Santa balloon arch and inflatable Amazon had to offer.
But just as she was patting herself on the back for pulling it off, she got that dreaded email at 3 pm the day before Daniel’s birthday: delayed delivery.
Enter: the Southie community. She put out an SOS on social media, and within hours, the elves came out in full force, offering up their Santa inflatables, Christmas lights, and all the holiday cheer they had tucked away in basements and attics.
One mom even lent her a four-foot Santa, which they blew up outside Daniel’s bedroom door. He woke up, saw it, screamed “SANTA!”, and then ran to the window, where even more festive magic awaited him in the backyard. It was pure Christmas magic!
“Thank you to the entire Southie community for coming through and making Daniel’s birthday wish a reality!”
Another reason to love living in this amazing community!
