Be informed. Get involved.

Want to be a part of the conversation about development in our neighborhood? Then attend this important community meeting on Tuesday, April 26th from 6:30pm-8pm at the Condon School Cafeteria – 200 D Street. Topic of conversation? Rezoning in residential areas. Do we suspect shenanigans to make things easier for developers and cutting down on neighborhood hearings? Potentially but we shall see.

See below from the BRA:

The Boston Redevelopment Authority, in collaboration with the Mayor’s office and your local elected officials, has initiated a community conversation regarding South Boston’s zoning, particularly the traditional residential areas.

This process has included a presentation to all South Boston civic groups in the fall of 2015. The BRA now intends to expand the conversation and initiate a community wide dialogue focusing on the current state of South Boston’s zoning regulations, as well as potential future changes. The BRA is seeking community wide input for zoning change recommendations. The South Boston Rezoning Initiative is a separate process than PLAN: South Boston Dorchester Avenue.

Do you really think it isn’t a done deal? Do you think these politicians are looking out for your best interest? Everything they do is based upon getting reelected, not what is good for us. They continually wrap shit in a pretty bow and present it to us as a gift.

I have gone to many neighborhood meetings over the years, especially recently , and I feel that they are now a waste of my time as the developers get to do what they want anyway!! Pols and developers , hand in greedy hand.!
